Sikaflex®-291

Multifunctional adhesive sealant for marine applications

Sikaflex®-291 is a non-sag, single-component polyurethane sealant engineered for marine applications, curing upon exposure to atmospheric moisture. It complies with International Maritime Organisation (IMO) standards and is ideal for creating elastic, vibration-resistant seals as well as various interior sealing tasks. This sealant adheres effectively to common marine construction materials such as wood, metals, metal primers, two-component paint systems, ceramics, and plastics like GRP. However, it should not be used on plastics susceptible to stress cracking, including Plexiglas and polycarbonate. Once cured, Sikaflex®-291 can be sanded as needed. This product is intended for skilled professionals, and compatibility testing with specific substrates and conditions is essential.
