Sika® Primer-207 - Pigmented, solvent-based primer for various substrates

Sika® Primer-207 is a solvent-based black primer that reacts with moisture to create a thin bonding layer. This layer enhances adhesion between substrates and adhesives. Designed specifically for preparing surfaces before applying Sika’s one-component Polyurethanes, it often ensures strong adhesion without needing an activation step on many materials. Additionally, Sika® Primer-207 fluoresces under long-wave UV light temporarily, allowing for effective in-process quality control.

Suitable Usage and Application:

Sika® Primer-207 enhances adhesion across a wide variety of substrates, including float glass, ceramic-coated glass, plastics, pre-coated surfaces, painted areas, E-coats, and metals. It is recommended to consult the manufacturer and conduct tests on original materials before applying to substrates susceptible to stress cracking. This primer is intended for use by experienced professionals only. Proper testing with the specific substrates and conditions is essential to confirm adhesion performance and material compatibility.
