About the Product
ETA APPROVED Screwbolts
Introducing a versatile solution for your anchoring needs, this range of Screwbolts is expertly designed for medium duty applications in solid concrete with a strength of 25MPa or greater. These innovative fasteners exert no expansion pressure, allowing for close placement to edges without compromising the integrity of the base material.
*Seismic Categories C1 and C2: Anchors qualified under Seismic Category C1 provide capacities for Tension and Shear resistance, while those qualified for Seismic Category C2 offer enhanced anchor capacities, accounting for both Tension and Shear resistance and Displacement. The assessment considers the concrete cracking effect with different crack widths, making Seismic Category C2 more stringent than Category C1. Option 1 refers to the scope of application verified through independent testing, addressing factors such as concrete state, strength, loading direction, and design method.
The unique Screwbolt system is a groundbreaking approach to anchoring in construction materials. While traditional methods rely on threads in metals or woodscrews for wood, developed as a self-tapping anchor specifically for use in concrete, stone, brick, and block. This method ensures a reliable fixing that combines the best practices of both metal and wood fastening.
The Screwbolt features a specially designed thread that provides optimum grip within various substrates while minimising insertion torque. Simply use a standard hammer or percussion drill to create the hole for installation. As the Screwbolt is driven in, it cuts its own thread into the substrate, achieving a strong and secure anchor. This self-tapping action not only enhances safety but also simplifies the installation process, making it ideal for both professionals and DIY enthusiasts.
One of the standout benefits of this design is that it allows for easy removal and reinstallation into the same hole, provided the thread is aligned correctly. This feature is particularly useful for applications where adjustments may be necessary. The preload applied during installation serves solely to secure the component being fixed and should not exceed the recommended maximum torque, ensuring longevity and reliability.
Whether you’re working on construction projects or need a dependable fastening solution for various materials, Screwbolts deliver exceptional performance and ease of use. Trust in this innovative fastening technology to provide the strength and stability you need for your next project.
